Global Publishers and General Enterprises Limited is a fast growing, reputable newspapers publication company which publishes a leading Swahili sports newspaper CHAMPIONI and favorite newspapers UWAZI, AMANI, RISASI, IJUMAA and IJUMAA WIKIENDA.
Wish to employ TWO ACCOUNT ASSISTANTS for the purpose of reinforcing its Accounts Department.
MAIN JOB TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Prepare and submit customer invoices
• Code, post and receipt payments
• Prepare and coordinate deposit activities
• Perform all necessary accounts, bank and other reconciliations
• Monitor customer accounts for non payments and delayed payments
• Check, verify and process invoices
• Prepare payments for signature
• Sort, code and enter accounts payable data
• Analyze discrepancies and unpaid invoices
GENERAL SUPPORT FUNCTIONS
•Update, verify and maintain accounting journals and ledgers and other financial records
• Assist in month end reporting procedures
• Find and use accounting data to resolve accounting problems and discrepancies • Track and audit petty cash
• Assist with employee expense reports
• Liaise with other departments/customers/vendors
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
•A good Advanced Diploma in Accounting or Bachelor Degree in Accounting from any recognized Institute/ College/University
•Associate degree in business or accounting is an advantage
• Microsoft knowledge
• Knowledge of generally accepted accounting and book keeping principles and procedures KEy COMPETENCIES
