Job Title: Accounting Officer

Department: Finance

Reports To: CHIEF ACCOUTING OFFICER [CAO/CFO]

Summary: The Accounting is a senior executive responsible for overseeing all aspects of the company’s financial accounting and reporting functions. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the company’s financial statements, maintaining compliance with all relevant accounting standards (e.g., GAAP, IFRS), and providing valuable financial insights to support strategic decision-making.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Financial Reporting & Analysis:

  • Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of all financial reporting deadlines, tax filings, and internal management reports.
  • Analyze financial trends and key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement and inform strategic business decisions.
  • Prepare and present financial reports to senior management and the Board of Directors.

Accounting Operations:

  • Manage the day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and fixed assets.

Financial Planning & Analysis:

  • n the development of annual budgets and long-term financial forecasts.

Tax Compliance:

  • Oversee the preparation and filing of Revenue Authority, and tax returns.
  • Ensure compliance with all tax laws and regulations.
  • Advise management on tax planning strategies to minimize tax liabilities.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; or both
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent professional certification or Master of Science in Accounting (MSA) is an added advantage.
  • 3+ years of progressive experience in accounting and finance, including experience in a senior leadership role.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP, IFRS, and other relevant accounting standards.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial software applications.
  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) preferred.
