Marie Stopes Tanzania is the country’s largest specialised sexual and reproductive health and family planning organisation, established in 1989.

Marie Stopes International is a global organisation with 11,000 team members working in 37 countries to deliver our mission. Starting from one single clinic in London, our organisation has grown from one clinic in central London to become one of the world’s largest providers of high quality, affordable contraception and safe abortion services.

Over the last 40 years, we have touched the lives of more than 120 million women and girls, giving them the power to take control of their futures. But we know that there is much more to do, today there are 214 million women who want to use contraception but can’t and that number continues to grow.
