Impact & Communications Specialist-Tanzania
Responsibilities and Duties;
- Lead on the design and implementation of the Platform’s monitoring and evaluation framework, ensure agreed, relevant and measurable indicators and processes are in place to assess progress and the Platform’s contribution to significant change, and ensure robust data collection and analysis
- Ensure data collection from Platform engagement events and meetings is routine, and is systematically recorded and stored
- Coordinate the gathering of feedback from Platform stakeholders, including follow-up interviews with participants in the Platform’s event and activities
- Ensure all Platform interactions and meta-data from them are systematically captured and organised in the Platform’s knowledge management system
- Analyse data to provide insight on the impact of the Platform’s work.
- Manage the Platform’s external evaluations
- Liaise with the Platform’s third-party monitor to support the monitoring and evaluation framework and facilitate their data collection.
Education and Experience;
- Relevant degree in political science, social science, development studies or similar
- 2 years experience in programme management, monitoring and evaluation in fragile contexts
- Demonstrable commitment to the Platform’s core vision and principles
- Familiarity with a range of M&E approaches and methods
- Able to conduct and coordinate a range of data collection processes including participant-observation, surveys, and key informant interviews, as well as qualitative analysis methodologies
- Experienced in developing learning cultures and methodologies within peacebuilding programmes to support collective reflection, assessment on progress and strategic and tactical adaptation
- Capable of managing donor relations and representing programmes to donors
