Job Description

–           Manage the day to day Sales team activity. Develop a weekly schedule for planning purposes of the various visits as well as a reporting tool in order to assess the level of interest, services proposed / to be proposed, success rate, next plan of actions…

–           Prepare & formalize specific and relevant Commercial targets for the Sales team.

–           Assist the Sales team whenever required during sales visits.

–           Supervise the day to day activity of the Pricing team. Ensure that quotation requests are responded to within the required timeframe of twenty four hours for standard requests. Abnormal requests (Heavy Lifts, Projects) are to be answered in the shortest timeframe possible in conjunction with the respective Department(s) and Operations Director.

–           Ensure that the Pricing team is using efficiently the prevailing systems and tools. Ensure that each Pricing officers are versatile / capable to quote all traffic / activities / services which can be offered by the Company.

–           Develop and maintain, in conjunction with the respective HODs, the general pricing matrixes / tariff structure which are to be used as the standards for our pricing policies during a given period.

–           Recruit (in conjunction with HR Department), train and manage the Pricing, Sales and Marketing personnel.

–           Prepare & formalize specific and relevant “Standard Operating Procedures” (SOPs) for the Commercial Department, in conjunction with QHSE.

–           Assist if and whenever applicable the management in building up Project Offer costing / pricing.

–           Assist if and whenever applicable in visit / meeting corporate customers and project clients locally and/or overseas.

–           Develop and maintain a strong client network and contacts.

–           Develop and maintain a Cell within the Commercial Department in charge of gathering and collecting relevant information for the various Departments of the Company as well as the management.

–           Develop and maintain a marketing strategy in conjunction with the management.

–           Ensure a smooth communication between the HODs concerned, the management and the Commercial Department. To ensure that sales and visit reports are forwarded in a formal manner to the respective HODs. To share the weekly sales / commercial actions and visits with the management and concerned HODs. To communicate the weekly achievement of the sales / commercial team.

–           Assist in creating marketing tools and support to promote the Company’s activities.

–           Coordinate the monthly reporting required by the Regional and HQ offices.

Coordinate the response to tenders, due diligence process, vendor / supplier registration process (other than O&G, Mining and Industrial Projects)… Build up and manage a proper tender desk.

Requirements

Business Degree or equivalent with bias in Clearing & Forwarding.

Certificates in Commercial / Marketing techniques and strategies

Five (5) years minimum as a Commercial Manager (or Deputy).

Ten (10) years in the C&F and/or Logistics / Supply Chain industry preferred.

·         Ability to work independently
